Admissions Policy:
The goal of Montessori education is to discover a perfect match between child, family, and school. Our admissions process will guide us to enroll students whose needs and interests can be successfully met through a Montessori environment.
Parents should contact the school for enrollment info.
Parents should visit the school for a scheduled tour (either virtually or in-person as permitted).
An application can be filled out on our website.
The application may be returned to the school along with a $50 non-refundable registration fee for our Young Community and Primary Programs and a $200.00 non-refundable fee for our Kindergarten Program.
An email and receipt will be sent to the parents from Media Children's House stating that your child’s deposit has been received.
An interview with the Director will be scheduled.
Students who have not before attended Media Children's House and are applying for enrollment into our Kindergarten Program are required to spend a minimum of 2 days in one of our primary classrooms. This will help the teachers and families to determine whether or not MCH is the right school for the child.
Transcripts from the child’s previous school(s) will be requested.
The following will be taken into account when considering each child’s application:
Sibling enrollment at MCH
The completion of the 3 year cycle of older siblings at MCH
Past Montessori experience
Date of application
Waiting List:
Parents may request to place their child’s name on a waiting list. A waiting list fee of $50.00 must accompany this request. This fee will apply to the $50.00 registration fee for the Young Community and Primary Program. It will also be applied if you are requesting enrollment to the Kindergarten Program. It will then be put towards the $200.00 registration fee. This fee is non-refundable and non- transferable. There is no entrance guarantee. The waiting list request expires in 12 months time. You must renew your request prior to your 12-month expiration date. This waiting list is not based on a first come first served basis, but is based on an interview to determine if the program meets the child’s needs. An interview appointment date will be assigned according to the submission date of the waiting list request. The school will make every effort to accommodate your child’s enrollment.
