Admissions Policy:

The goal of Montessori education is to discover a perfect match between child, family, and school. Our admissions process will guide us to enroll students whose needs and interests can be successfully met through a Montessori environment.

  1. Parents should contact the school for enrollment info.

  2. Parents should visit the school for a scheduled tour (either virtually or in-person as permitted).

  3. An application can be filled out on our website.

  4. The application along with a $50 non-refundable application fee may be mailed to the school or submitted online.

  5. An email and receipt will be sent to the parents from Media Children's House stating that your child’s application fee has been received.

  6. An interview with the Director will be scheduled.

  7. Following a successful interview, you will receive an acceptance letter indicating your child’s enrollment. Once you confirm enrollment, an invoice for the deposit will be sent to you. The  deposit fee is $400.00 for the first child and $200.00 for each additional sibling.

  8. Transcripts from the child’s previous school(s) will be requested.

  9. Our unique kindergarten program is a full-day experience and unrivaled by any other program in the area. All students who are new to Media Children’s House and applying to kindergarten must spend two full days in our Montessori classroom. This provides the child an opportunity to experience the Montessori environment and for MCH to determine if the environment is a good fit for your child.

The following will be taken into account when considering each child’s application:

  1. Sibling enrollment at MCH

  2. The completion of the 3 year cycle of older siblings at MCH

  3. Past Montessori experience

  4. Date of application

Waiting List:

Parents may request to place their child’s name on a waiting list. A registration fee of $50.00 must accompany this request. This fee is non-refundable and non- transferable. There is no entrance guarantee. This waiting list is not based on a first come, first served basis but is based on an interview to determine if the program meets the child’s needs. An interview appointment date will be assigned according to the submission date of the waiting list request. The school will make every effort to accommodate your child’s enrollment.
